About Scott Rhoades

I was born in Oakland, California and raised in nearby Newark. I have enjoyed writing since I was about five years old, when I used to make my own books by tracing pictures and making up stories to go with them. I especially enjoy writing stories set in the Middle Ages.

I spent nearly two years in Austria in 1981 and 1982, and three months in Germany in 2005. I was a technical writer for Novell, Inc. from 1992 to 2007, after starting my career at Atari in 1988. I currently work for Adobe and run my own company, Write Field Documentation Services. I am also on the Board of Directors of The Tiferet Center, a center for Jewish education, ritual, and community service based in California, as well as SOAP International, who sponsor orphan students in East Africa.

I live in Utah with a wonderful wife, two daughters, four sons, four grandchildren, a dog, and too many cats.
